The Hand Center
Certified Hand Therapists
The intricate anatomy of the hand and upper extremity, when injured, sometimes requires very delicate surgery, often involving an operative microscope. These kinds of surgical procedures are performed by a Fellowship-trained hand surgeon, followed by further treatment by a Certified Hand Therapist.
Fellowship-Trained
Restoration of the hand involves technically complex surgeries and demands advanced skills, and a high level of competence. The Hand Center employs more Fellowship-trained hand surgeons and more Certified Hand Therapists than any hospital or other orthopedic practice in the area.
Additionally, Orthopedic Associates and its surgeons, in partnership with Kettering Health Washington Township, have made a significant financial and operational commitment to the development and operation of The Hand & Orthopedic Center of Excellence, the only dedicated, outpatient orthopedic facility of its kind in the greater Miami and Ohio Valleys.
Hand Day 2023
Orthopedic Associates and Kettering health’s continued collaboration has facilitated free hand surgeries for eligible patients lacking medical insurance one day a year. Conducted in September at the Orthopedic Center of Excellence within the Southview Medical Center, this collective initiative has provided individuals lacking financial resources access to high-quality care that would otherwise be unattainable, reinforcing our shared dedication to community service and furthering our commitment to our patients.
